splash
Today was not really a good day. Actually, it was a fairly good day until about 2:30 pm... I decided to use the bathroom... and, my worst fear happened. Plop! I always carry my cell phone in my back pocket, and I am always so careful to make sure I either put my phone on the counter or at least take it out of my pocket. I was so mad, I felt so stupid. I quickly grabbed it out of the toilet (no, I had not peed yet! hehe) and took it apart, dried it, and let it dry all afternoon. Broken. The buttons would not work at all. I was so sad, I LOVED my phone! It's such good quality, the best and most easy to understand phone I've ever had... and it's pink! So I told the woman I work for, she gave me sympathy, laughed, and proceeded to offer her old cell phone to me... it's the same phone as mine, except it's black. Oh, did I mention practically brand new? She used it for a few months before she switched providers. Sweet! It was so sweet of her and took a HUGE weight off my shoulders after feeling so bad about the whole situation. We went to Sprint tonight and the guy switched the phone over AND the numbers in literally 30 seconds! Whew. I'm a lucky girl. So feel free to call me now. ;)

Why is it that a nice phone that you love always is broken or lost quickly, meanwhile the phone that you hate.. that is basic and boring... probably outlived the dinosaurs (cue my phone). I am glad you got a new one, but sorry for the loss!
ReplyDeleteIn my time at Cellutions, we would have a customer drop their phone in the toilet once a week...no not the same guy every week, but once a week at least one customer would.
ReplyDeleteBUT...it was always guys, because they're playing games and golf and stuff on the toilet.
Either way, you're not as crazy as you might think!
Aww your so lucky that she gave you her "old" one. Mine is going on two and a half years and I want a new one so bad!
ReplyDeleteGood cell phones are hard to come by! I was laughing as I pictured you picking the phone out of the toilet... hahahahahaha! In all honesty that situation is one of my fears too. Sometimes Porter throws stuff in the toilet, and sometimes I pretend not to notice so that Ammon finds it and has to fish it out. HA!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments on my last post. You are a good friend (I feel like I know you even though I barely do) and I'm really glad we met!
I'm loving the new background! Good choice. Green is my favorite color.
ReplyDeleteSo sad about your cute pink phone, but so cool that you were able to get a pratically new black one for free! Hope you had a happy thanksgiving!
ReplyDeletei love your new template, it is so cute...sorry about your phone, that stinks. thank you for your comment on my blog. it really meant a lot to me and got me all choked up. i hope your thanksgiving was a great one!
ReplyDeleteOMG!My friend just had this happen to her a few weeks ago! She was so bummed. She had to get a whole new phone b/c everything got wet. My question... if we can put a man on the moon. Why can't cell phones be water-proof!!??
ReplyDeleteHope you are well!!!!!!
